Riverview FL Photography - Salas Family
It's taken a long time for me to prepare this blog post. I photographed this family back in December right before Christmas and it has to be the most heart warming session that I've ever experienced. I pondered on what to write during all the months since then. I tossed around a couple of ideas and nothing felt appropriate so I will let the photos speak for themselves. You will feel the connection and the love they have for one another and it is so awesome!The people you see in these photos are my neighbors and although we don't see each other that often, we share a special connection. That connection is that they, just like my husband and I, are proud parents of boys with special needs. Our child is physically impared as is their little boy in the photos you are about to see. We also have daughters that are loving, kind and have learned life lessons that most 80 year old people may not have learned. We share the same joy, pain and the same undying love for our children. We believe in miracles and in hope. I am extremely grateful to the Salas family for allowing me to capture their special moments together. My goal for this session was to photograph them as close to what their normal everyday family time is like. I want for you to recgonize that within the physical body of any person is a soul that longs to be loved and accepted no matter what they look like, no matter what they can do or cannot do. I want you to know that a person with special needs is brilliant just like any other person. They laugh, cry, feel pain, are histerically funny sometimes, are kind, loving and incredibly accepting of others. The next time you see a person that has some challenges, say hello, give them a smile and I guarantee that you will make that person's day!
